Why doesn't Angry Birds Chrome work on Internet Explorer 8, but other games do?
Most of the other games on Chrome are using Flash. We are using new features in HTML5, so you need a recent browser for the game to work.
What does "Optimized for Chrome" mean?
Angry Birds Chrome has been developed primarily for Chrome and utilizes all the cool technologies of the Chrome browser. The address chrome.angrybirds.com works in other major browsers too. Although we put quite a bit of effort into offering a pleasant experience for users on other browsers, some issues are to be expected.
How do I unlock the Chrome Dimension levels?
You have to find and hit the hidden Chrome balls we have placed in other episodes!
When will there be new content?
We try to constantly update Angry Birds Chrome with cool new stuff, but do not give out release dates.
What's the difference between SD/HD mode?
SD mode resolution is designed to fit smaller screens and improve performance on older computers.
Can I use payment methods other than Google Wallet to buy the Mighty Eagle or the ad-free version?
Google Wallet is the only payment method.
What is the Mighty Eagle, why should I buy it?
The Mighty Eagle is a game build on top of the classic Angry Birds mechanics which additionally offers a way to progress past difficult levels. The core gameplay revolves around achieving total destruction and filling in the Mighty Eagle feather-meter!
Do I really have to wait for one hour to use the Mighty Eagle again? I thought it was unlimited use?
When the Mighty Eagle is used as a means to get pass a difficult level, it becomes unavailable for use for one hour. Unlimited use refers to the core gameplay which revolves around achieving total destruction and filling in the Mighty Eagle feather-meter!
It's impossible to get 100% on some levels using just the Mighty Eagle! How do I get the feather?
You can shoot the birds first and then the Mighty Eagle.
How does the zoom work in Angry Birds Chrome?
There are two ways to zoom in and out of the gameplay area: mouse scrolling and up/down arrow keys
What is Cloud Saving?
Cloud saving means that all save data is stored remotely (on our machines) instead of locally (on your machine). So every level you complete; point you accumulate; star you gain or Mighty Eagle Feather you obtain will now be saved forever and be kept safe for your return.
What is the benefit?
We noticed that a huge amount of users were losing their saved data for a variety of reasons, all of which were associated with local data storage. This included cleaning the browsers cache; reinstalling browser; changing browsers or changing computer. These problems were due to the system not being entirely transparent and was often quite frustrating.
With the new cloud saving system all of these issues have been addressed and logged users should have access to their saved data from any device without fear of losing their progress.
How can I access it?
To use this feature it is fundamental that players log into the game. A logged user generates a user id which we use to track stats and scores. Without it we wouldn’t be able to differentiate players from each other. Logging in is simple and only requires a user to have an active Google account (Gmail, G+, Youtube). If you already have a Google account active in your browser AB Chrome will automatically use that information when you attempt to log in. If you do not have a Google account you will be prompted to create one.
What happens to my local storage save file?
Logging in for the first time transfers all local save data to the cloud. While logged in, no data will be saved locally.
How safe is my personal information?
Extremely safe. We don’t have access to any personal information at all. Since players are using their Google account credentials to log into the game, their personal information is stored safely on the google database. We recommend to never give anyone your Google account details.
Can my saved data be deleted?
Currently there is no way to delete any saved data from the cloud. All progress is persistent. If you have lost saved data or cannot access saved data please check that you are logged into the correct Google account across all devices and browsers. If your computer has several users with several Google accounts make sure that you use the account associated to you. You can see which account is currently logged in by viewing the upper right corner just outside of the game frame.
